Night of The Vampires - Heather Graham

                                                           Night of the Vampires (Hqn)

Review : Night of The Vampires - Heather Graham - November 2010

How exciting , here's a new Vampire book for all those Vamp Lovers out there. Ive always wondered about this author whether or not to pick her up or not and Night of the Vampires happens to be the second book of hers that I have read - The first was The Seance which I reviewed and can be found in thy October archives.  In Night of The Vampires , we are presented with what can only seem like a Southerners Ball where the debutantes are basically being chucked to the wolves -well in this case "the over rich and snobby " men whom are on the lookout like vultures for wives as in the Southern state - you are nobody without financial backing and upper class. For Kim Forrester she doesn't fit in , her mum might though as she has just scored herself a rich second husband. Kim is about to get the escape she wishes so hard for as half-Vampire Cody Fox arrives giving her an escape- it's at this point of the story that the saying "Be careful what you wish for as it might come true" definitely rings true. I found the next part confusing as it jumps to Washington DC where their has been a Vampire outbreak and war is at hands and Cody Fox comes face-to-face with his long-lost half sister Megan Fox ( the half-vampire not the actress). Megan Fox's quest to uncover a family secret leads her to the center of vampire riots in West Virginia. To find the answers she needs—and clear herself of suspicion—she must join forces with Cole - Cody's right hand man and the local Texan Sheriff. They work undercover to bring justice, but they can't disguise the potent attraction and need that draw them together. Yet trust doesn't come easily for Cole…and when Megan unearths the grim, dark truth, can she trust him to believe her?  A good story where at times is a tad confusing as you begin to try and join the two events together and in places the story tends to have a slower pace which as someone who loves novels to be quick, entertaining and fast-paced found this a tad annoying. Other than that - Night of the Vampires is a Vampire story for someone who in the midst of all the new Teen Vampire Novels are looking for that little bite.
