Today's book is a new Children's series for girls that has just arrived in the library at work and is based on the Greek Goddesses.

In this new series , we see the Goddess Girls as teenage girls about 12-13 years old , well that's how I imagine them , though they could be more 13-14+. In Athena the Brain, we see Athena on earth as an orphan and living with her adopted mother and father and sister Pal. Athena attends Public school and has always known that she is different than the others, however nothing learnt in Public school and life so far could have helped when she discovers the truth on her she really is. Athena is in fact the daughter of the Greek God Zeus and her mother is a .............. Unfortunately I can't ruin the surprise so you will have to read to find out about Athena's mother. Soon we see Athena transfer to Mount Olympus Academy for Gods and Goddess and make friends with Aphrodite, Artemis , Posiedon, Persephone, Pandora etc. and make fast enemies with Medusa and we discover how Medusa ended up with Snakes on her head and the ability to turn those into stone.

    Thank you so much for the lovely words about the Goddess Girls! Athena and Medusa are two of my favorite characters in Greek mythology, so this was a fun start to the series for me.
