Ode to Edvard Munch - Caitlin Kiernan

Today's Book is Book #1 in another 2011 Challenge that I am entering called "Paranormal Romance" run by Bitten by Paranormal Romance Website :)
The dictionary defines Paranormal Romance as "Paranormal romance is a sub-genre of the romance novel. A type of speculative fiction, paranormal romance focuses on romance and includes elements beyond the range of scientific explanation, blending together themes from the genres of traditional fantasy, science fiction, or horror"

Review : Ode to Edvard Munch- Caitlin Kiernan - Features in The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance edited by Trisha Telep.- July 2008

These not really much I can say about this short stroy , just that it was an odd one and one that I had to re-read a couple of the pages to make sure that I was still on the right page length. At first I thought it read Ode to Edward Munsch who was the guy who created the famous "Scream" Painting .In "Ode to Edvard Munch," a man relates his long-term love affair with an urban vampire. He talks about his first meeting with her at the park , in front of the fountain and their love affair with architecture, she talks to him about history which draws his fascination in closer. Soon we read as he is brought to her level of "hell" of such as all he has ever known her is as" Daughter of Lilith" who we know as a tough demon, a bit like a Jezebel. I think this story is suitable for anyone who is a lover of the Vampire Romance and is one of those short stories that can be devoured in one nice bloodsuckingly juicy bite. I have this authors other books the Red Tree and Silk. I am hoping however that as these are full stories rather than short that they will be a bit more enjoyable and easy to understand and follow.
