Waking the Witch by Kelley Armstrong is the perfect mix of Supernatural, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy and Adventure with a hint of mystery and intrigue and makes a wonderful addition to her "Women of the Otherworld" Series.

Review : Waking the Witch - Kelley Armstrong - July 2010

Remember Savannah Levine, daughter of the now deceased Dark Witch Eve Levine and Sorcerer Kristof Nast. With both parents dead , Savannah at the age of 12 went to live with Paige and Lucas - another witch and sorcerer. Now all grown up and twenty one years old Savannah is starting to get the hang of Paige and Lucas's PI Business and is ready to do some fieldwork of her own rather than sit behind a desk and do paperwork all day. When Paige and Lucas head off to their honeymoon -yes they finally got around to getting married and co-worker Adam is at a conference in Spokane , with a visit from a fellow Supernatural PI Jesse announces a triple-homicide Savannah jumps at the chance to do some investigating of her own. Unfortunately for Savannah, this isn't just a case of mortal murders as she starts uncovering magic, cults, rituals  and satanic worship and the magic being used is very old school. As like most stories that have similar storylines, Savannah finds herself in trouble and way over her head and when two more murders occur it looks like Savannah and Jesse are next on the hit list and if they aren't careful enough then the only way they will be able to communicate with is Savannah's medium friend Jamie whose the real deal.
