When Christians Get It Wrong

Review: When Christians Get it Wrong - Adam Hamilton- August 2010

Take a look around your church, are you lacking the younger generation, the ones that will take over your church when you are gone ? Teenagers especially nowadays are getting the wrong perceptions of Christ. Many think that Christians are bible-bashers, goody-two-shoes, people that do not sin and can do know wrong, however we all make mistakes.
When young adults talk about the problems they have with Christianity and the church, they often name certain attitudes and behaviors they believe are practiced too often by Christians: judging others, condemning people of other faiths, rejecting science, injecting politics into faith, and being anti-homosexual. With his familiar style, Adam Hamilton tackles these issues and addresses the how’s and why’s of Christians getting it right when it comes to being Christ in the world.
When Christians get it wrong touches base on issues from religions , science, evolution, teen pregnancies and homosexuality , each chapter contains a testimony from a young person to the young adults , throughout the book there are also references to bible stories and parables of Jesus's and how they relate to the issues and a favourite of mine is on every single or every second page , their is a God-Fact which relates to Christianity nowadays.
When Christians Get It Wrong can also be used as a Bible Study/ Small Group as it comes with a participant's guide and a DVD to watch.
This is a book that I guarantee every teenager whether you are a christian and know god and have a firm relationship with him or if you are new to the church and want to know god better.
