Always a Witch

Review: Always a Witch - Carolyn MacCullough - August 2011

An awesome thing that I praise over and over again with Netgalley is the chance that some of the books that I get to review , have yet to be published. As a serious reader and voracious one at that , when you get to read a book that has yet to been released , it gives you a little buzz of excitement.
The sequel to Once a Witch which was released in September 2009 , Always a Witch talks to us about the discovery of power that lead character Tasmin Greene has managed to acquire. Always feeling like the black sheep of the family, by not having a recognised talent - Tasmin is starting to wonder if something is terribly wrong with her , but leading up to her sister Rowena's wedding. Tasmin is about to discover that if somebody uses their powers three times around her, she can absorb their talent from mind reading to compulsion to freezing people. When an old arch-enemy turns up threatning to out the Greene family and destroy their talents, it is up to Tasmin to save the day as she must time-travel back to the year 1800's and warn her ancestors not to give the book and clock up. However, with time travelling comes consequences , will Tasmin be able to complete the task and return back to the 21st century safely or will she forever be stuck in the 1800's and if Tasmin isn't too careful not to make any huge changes , huge consequences will affect her current families situation.
Find out more in the wonderful duo "Once A Witch ", "Always A Witch".
