Dance upon the Air (Three Sisters Island Trilogy)
Review: Dance Upon the Air - Three Sisters Island Trilogy Book #1- Nora Roberts - June 2001

I think if you are a person that finds the Salem Witch Trials fascinating and tales of witches and folklore and descendants , chucked in with a sense of mystery, thriller , magic and finding yourself in a small cosy township, then the Three Sisters Island Trilogy is just what you need and Dance Upon the Air is just what you need to start the trilogy. Our story starts way back in June 1692 when the Salem witch trials are in full stem. Nineteen women , innocent have been hanged and this has worried the three women who are in fact witches. The legend goes that these three women cast a spell to distant themselves and form a piece of protected land where they could not be harmed and that each of their ancestors and descedants will have the gift and it will be a magical time when all three are gathered in the same spot, the three sisters reunited once again. Fast forward to modern present day, Nell Channing is running away from an abusive life , changing her name from Helen . She finds herself in the smalltown of Three Sisters Island, it is on this island that she meets Mia - the town witch and one of the three sisters descendants and proud to be who she is , Mia immediately takes Nell under her wing and starts to show her the ropes in a little bit more than your average everyday life, soon Nell falls for Sheriff Zach Todd and his sister Ripley it discovers is the 2nd sister, will they show Nell that she is in fact the third and what will happen when Nell and Zach get engaged and the one man she has been running from and doing everything she can to escape him turns up wanting to kill her .
An awesome series and one that I can't wait to read Book #2 of and find out more about the magical three sisters.
