Contingency: Book One: Covenant of Trust Series
Review: Contingency - Book #1 Covenant of Trust Series - Paula Wiseman- December 2010
Sometimes, it can only take one instance to change your whole life, be it a single phone call , an email and your whole world can come crashing down and if you are a christian then you are left with your faith wavering and asking where was God in the picture ? Thats what happened to Bobbi , when her husband was away on a work trip , his email was forwarded and sitting in the inbox was an email from a woman named Tracey Ravenna inviting Chuck out to drinks and to meet up again which instigated an affair happening. When Bobbi confronts Chuck, he doesn't deny it and we read as Bobbi's life starts to fall apart as she wonders of course, what all wives think - what did I do wrong to make him cheat ? She believes that he wants a divorce and he thinks that she wants the divorce, so they go to talk to their friends Phil and Donna and Phil tells Chuck to try and win Bobbi's trust back and to return in three weeks. The story follows the next three weeks and the result is one that in a way we expected but unfortunately during the three weeks , tragedy strikes which pushes Chuck and Bobbi to think about how much they actually love each other and the fact that time is short. In the Epilogue, we read as God have given them an incentive to working and putting their marriage back on track, though it seems that they aren't rid of Tracey as we discover in the last pages and the first chapter of the 2nd book in the series "Indemnity".
