Do you love mysteries ? Growing up, was one of your favourite books/movies "The Face on the Milk Carton" ?
Lisa Scottoline brings to us a similar tale.......
Review: Look Again - Lisa Scottoline- April 2009
What would you do if one day , you woke up and saw a site of missing children and one of them happened to be the spitting image of your own son , the son you adopted all those years ago ?
Reporter Ellen , adopted her son Will when he was a few months old and now she is getting worried ? Is it just her journalistic suspicions rising or is it something more ?
Desperate to get to the bottom of this , Ellen starts to look into the adoption of Will and the story of the missing boy Timothy, are they the same child ? What happens though , when Ellen goes to visit the lawyer and finds she is dead and her file nowhere to be seen ? Sounds like a dodgy adoption ?
Look Again is a thrilling read and I can't really write any more without giving the plot away , I do have to say it will be an emotional journey and if you have ever adopted a child then you will be in for a roller-coaster ride and make sure that you have a box of tissues nearby even though this is classified as a mystery/thriller read.
Even if you think that this is a storyline that has been overdone , once you have read Lisa Scottoline's book , your eyes will be open as her writing is fantastic and keeps you entertained and thrilled as you turn each page hoping to discover the truth and get to the bottom of the mystery.
Readers who love authors like Diane Chamberlain , Jodi Picoult, Jane Green and Lisa Jackson will love Look Again and reader's if you are like me and have similar tastes, then Lisa Scottoline is an author you have to invest in as I have read all her books and loved them all :)
