Review: The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden - Jessica Sorensen

Review: The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden - Book #1 The Coincidence Series - Jessica Sorensen - December 2012

As fans of The Phantom Paragrapher know, I have a nasty habit and trust me it's not done on purpose of reading books out of order in series. It's just that when I come across a book I want to read , I start reading it unaware that it is actually part of a series. The good thing about this though is most of the books can be read as stand-alone novels.  I first read Jessica Sorensen's book "The Redemption of Callie and Kayden" and fell in love with her writing style, so much that I decided to invest in reading her other books . The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden sets the scene for Book #2 where the pair happen to have been family friends growing up and it is the night of their graduation. Callie has been sent into the party to retrieve her brother and Caleb - though of course she has no desire of being there as when Callie was twelve she suffered tragedy at the hands of Caleb. While looking for her brother she witnesses another tragedy, Kayden getting the crap beat out of him by his father. She intervenes and then leaves. Kayden has never forgotten that night and about the girl who saved him. Now eight months later, the pair are in college and turns out to be at the same college.  Coincidences will find the pair thrown over and over again, but is it truly a coincidence or does fate have a part in this pairing ?
The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden is what New Adult is supposed to be about with the right combinations of Grittiness and Romance to a HEA or an HEA for now.
If you are wanting to discover truly what the New Adult genre is all about, then check out "The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden" by Jessica Sorensen.
