Review: Always Rayne - Book #1 Rockstar Romance Series - Sierra Avalon - June 2014

Harper Leigh's roommate Brooke is obsessed with the new upcoming band Always Rayne and has now won VIP tickets to their show and of course Harper is being dragged along to the show. For Harper, shows like this aren't her thing as she is more likely to be found browsing in a library or a bookstore or holed up in her office or room writing articles for the online magazine she works at Chatter. However, when they met the band backstage, it seems that the main lead singer Nic Rayne has eyes for Harper Leigh, she however can't stand him as he is a manwhore who sleeps with groupies. Next day, Harper discovers that Nic has contacted the magazine she works at and has requested that she be their on the road journalist. Given an ultimatum as she needs this job , she reluctantly agrees but as she goes on the road with them - she will discover a new side of Nic Rayne - one that he doesn't show to anybody. The side of Nic that is in fact - well read, intelligent and a genuine nice guy. What will happen though when Nic strikes a deal with Harper that has her sleeping in his bed and hanging out with him alone ? Will the pair open their hearts to each other and what will happen when Harper's ex-boyfriend Jackson - the one who crushed her wants to give them another chance ? Who will she choose - Nic Rayne or Jackson ?
One of the major parts that I loved was the fact that Nic brought Harper the magazine she worked at. I want that as a present. Once I read this, I was sold on this book as it could only get more amazing.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
