VBT# Love Edy - Shewanda Pugh

Review: Love Edy - Book #1 - Shewanda Pugh - June 2014

For as long as they can remember Edy and Hassan have been the best of friends but now that they are getting older , their feelings are changing from being friends to something more but the thing is that these two can never really be together as Hassan comes from a family of traditions and he has been promised into an arranged marriage when the time comes. Edy, finds it hard though as Hassan is also the school jock and one of the "hot footballers" and the cheerleaders are fawning all over him so when newcomer Wyatt and next door neighbour starts school - Edy decides to befriend them and the pair soon become best friends despite Hassan and the others warnings that Wyatt is bad news . If Edy can't have Hassan , then why are they making her life miserable by trying to get rid of Wyatt from her life despite the fact that they come from different worlds and class levels, the pair have a lot of fun. This book had me understanding the story all the way through until the last couple of chapters and especially the last chapter in which I had to re-read a couple of times to make sure I understood what had happened and quite frankly I'm still a tad confused how the story jumped to this part. Not to give the ending away, but readers if you love shocking endings and twists then you will love the ending of Love, Edy. Please be warned though readers, that this book does end on a giant cliffhanger that will leave you thinking WTF just happened here.  If you are in the mood for a multicultural Teen book then check out "Love, Edy" by Shewanda Pugh. I will however leave with the parting words that I have a Cover Crush on this book.
