Review: Confessions: The Private School Murders - James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

From the dynamic duo who brought readers The Women's Murder Club comes James Patterson and Maxine Paetro with the teen series "Confessions". We first met the Angel family when their parents Malcolm and Maud were found dead in their beds while their children slept through the night and they were accused of murdering their parents. They got cleared of course, but during the time it was discovered that the Angel children had been tested on and had been taking manufactured drugs the parents had created to make them the best they could be. In Book #2 we discover Matthew - the oldest of the Angel children is currently on trial as he woke up to discover lying next to him - his girlfriend Tamara dead and not only that but she was also pregnant with his baby at the time.  While this is happening the Angel Family, have a new guardian Jacob - who is Jacob and what connection does he have to the Angel's Grandparents ? It also seems that another string of murders are occuring - local girls from Private Schools are being murdered and if Tandy isn't careful in where her investigations take her - then she may very well become the next victim. Also we discover that while Tandy was on the drugs, she fell in love with a boy named James Rampling whom her parents tried to purge him and destroy all her memories of ever knowing him. When dreams and evidence of his existence comes flowing back, Tandy sets out to find him but can she do so or is their still someone more powerful out there that is putting up roadblocks to her investigations ?
I did try and read this book when it was first released, but found that I couldn't get into it - with the recieving of the next book - I decided to re-give it another try and I have to say I enjoyed it more the second time around.
