Review: Bad For You - Book #7 SeaBreeze Series - Abbi Glines - April 2014

One of my all-time favourite New Adult authors is Abbi Glines and like Melody Grace, one of the things I love about her books is that she connects all the characters up one way or another. In Book #7 Bad For You, we meet Krit Corbin who is Trisha's younger brother - now remember Trisha is the one who adopted Preston's younger siblings. In Bad For You, Blythe Denton has not had an easy life, being brought up by a Pastor and told everyday that she was ugly and worthless is very damaging to a girl's self-esteem - so when she learns that she can move out and is accepted to college , she jumps at the chance. Blythe's journey takes her to the small town of SeaBreeze where she meets next-door neighbour Krit. Krit has only ever really loved one person and that was his first girlfriend Jess - remember Jess is the one who went off with Jason Stone. That is until he meets Blythe, there is something about her and it's not just her innocence that is making him crazy. It's like she really cares for him despite what others say or how he acts - she is the only person who can see the "real him". Has Blythe finally meet the guy of her dreams and someone who can show her that she isn't ugly and that she is amazing and can Krit keep onto the one girl who makes him want to be the best man he can be ? Or will the appearance of an old conquest of Krit's be the one to put a huge damper on his plans to be with Blythe ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
