Review: The Dark World - Cara Lynn Schultz

After Paige's accident when she was hit by a car when saving a little boy named Dylan , her heart stopped and she experienced a near-death experience. When she awoke she discovered that she could see and speak to ghosts or as her parents called it "her hallucinations". Trying to start new, Paige moved to a new school but it wasn't till long that she earned the reputation as Crazy or as they nicknamed her "Bellevue Kelly" as Bellevue is the name of the mental hospital. While in the bathroom at school, Paige discovered a ghost named Dottie whom killed herself in the 1950's in the school bathroom and now is destined to stay in what Paige calls the limbo. However, when four new students arrive at her school - she is about to discover that this is about much more than seeing just "ordinary" ghosts and that the place she calls limbo is in fact known as the Dark World where all those who have been killed by demons or have had their deaths influenced by demons go to live for eternity. Now a War has been started and only Paige can save the spirits along with her Protector Logan - one of the new students and if that wasn't enough the other three new students are demons that have been sent to kill or kidnap -which ever gets the job done quicker Paige so that she cannot save the world.
This was a fun teen novel that started off like your usual suspects ghost seeing book , but then moved onto something a bit more sinister.
