Review: Wish You Were Eyre - Book #6 The Mother-Daughter Book Club - Heather Vogel Frederick- September 2012

The Mother-Daughter Book Club is back and this time they are reading "Jane Eyre" and it seems that a few of them definitely have some lessons to learn from Jane Eyre and a few other stories they have been reading or are exposed to. In Wish You Were Eyre , we discover that Becca has got a job working at Megan's grandmother Gigi's shop "Pies and Prejudice" , Megan is off to Paris and has been given the opportunity to cover the Fashion Week show due to her blog, Emma is having boyfriend problems as her boyfriend Stewart seems more occupied with newcomer Sophie who is from France and staying with Megan , Jess has been accused of cheating which means that she could lose not only her spot in the Accapella groud MardiGals but also her scholarship and Cassidy is taking her team to the champisonships but also has boyfriend problems as her eye his drawn to someone other than Zach. With lots happening including marriages, nasty girls, new babies and friendship problems it looks like the girls will have to join forces in overcoming any obstacles thrown in their way and like Jane - That's Eyre not Austen they must grow a backbone and find the courage to stand up for what they believe is right and needs to be said. The Mother-Daughter Book Club series , though is quite a lengthy read is aimed at girls aged 9-13years but is quite enjoyable as they find themselves relating the stories not only to themselves these days but they also get to learn neat facts and bond over the books.
This series is also good for the 13+ who love reading renditions of classics and just want to have some fun downtime to read and not have to worry too much about the content and detail of the storyline.
