Review: Give Your Heart a Break - Helen Peterson - December 2014

Relationships can be a tricky thing to get into , especially when your heart has been stomped on. For Rachel Thomas , she justs wants to find the perfect guy - someone who loves her for her and will be the one and after being duped one time too many, she is skeptical about the avaliability of the dating pool. While out one night with her work colleagues and best friends forever , she meets a guy at the bar while picking up her friend's drinks. She runs away though like Cinderella at midnight, the next day she returns to work and surprise, there are flowers on her desk with a little note from the mystery man. Seems he somehow managed to get her card from Kat which had her name and work place/ phone on it. Over the next few days, he will start to woo her and soon, she gives him and has a date which eventually with a little coaxing from her bffs ends up a relationship. The pair start to get pretty serious until , his ex-fiance shows up and things start going from bad to worse as she keeps calling him and eventually starts to stalk him. Is this relationship like her past ones doomed to fail or will Mason prove to Rachel that no matter what obstacles are blocked in their way , in the form of haters and ex-lovers - they are meant to be ? If you are looking for a light-hearted chick lit with a hint of suspense with attack of the stalker ex , then Give Your Heart a Break is the book for you.
