What would you do if you found yourself in a kidnapping situation ? Have you ever felt like if you got close to your kidnapper that the possibility of falling in love is there or developing a case of Stockholm Syndrome ? For postgrad student Evelyn , she is studying psychology and knows all about Stockholm Syndrome though as she's not a big fan of men and sex to be honest, she never thought she would have to deal with either of those especially when it came to being her choice. The thing is Evelyn didn't get a choice as one night while walking home , she is grabbed , tied up and raped. However to her rapist Mason , he doesn't see it that way to begin with as he was playing a game and this just happens to be a wrong place, wrong time type of case or is it ? Not wanting her to head to the police, he kidnaps her and takes her to his family's ranch and over the next week - we read as Evelyn's feelings for Mason fluctuate and we wonder whether she loves him or his playing with his feelings in order to let her go.
This was a quick novella read and has the topics of rape, kidnapping and BDSM fantasies all rolled into one.  Could you really end up loving your captor if you were kidnapped and raped ? Find out in JB Brooks Dark Romance "Stockholm Syndrome".

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens.
